Another check in on where we stand with shipping to keep you all updated!
First is the QA notice: Of the first batch of you 2 have had some pretty damaged product, whether broken minis or banged-up cover. If Smorg doesn't survive the post please reach out! I will replace any damaged goods right away, all I ask is that you send me photos / explanation of the damage over to - [email protected] - so I can both catalog the type of damage to find ways to prevent it, or send in a claim with the post (I've already had one pretty banged up package). Luckily most of you seem to be getting things unscathed as intended, but just wanted it to be clear that you won't be on the hook with a disappointing scrap package.
Hardcovers-
Most of you US backers should already have yours, INTL inbound to varying degrees.
Softcovers-
Just got in the reprint, with glue intact! So these are going to be headed to you next week!
Faux Leather covers-
Since the last proof I've updated the cover. the previous one was too busy and didn't convey the human skin book vibe as well as I wanted and I updated some pages that seemed to lose art quality. Waiting the new proof now then locking in that order.
Only minis/only dice-
You'll be seeing your packages next week. I delayed for a repack after some broken minis issues in another order.
Lastly, all packing is paused until Monday as I will be representing "The Flagellant & The Fool" in public for the first time with a table at Under the Dice Fest 2024!
Very excited to start showing off stuff to folk in person. I'll be both showing off some of our minis, some that are yet to be released, and Smorg.
I will also be unveiling our next Mork Borg compatible book - "The Sky is Falling!".
More info on that when I return but the quick points are, - no I am not participating in Zine month this year, all focus is on getting Smorg out there, and it will be later this year as the intent is to slash the release time by completing most of the book prior to launch.

A brief update today to let you know how fulfillment is going!
Hardcovers-
All* are packed, shipped, and in your hands within days (if you're within the US, or shortly after if you are not).
*With the exception of 3 backers that errored on backerkit (I'm working with their customer service to solve that) and am hoping to get those out on Monday.
Softcovers-
Unfortunately, I have a big o'l box of botched covers (the glue the printer used arrived defunct) but I have ordered a reprint the second that arrived so I'm expecting that to arrive sometime next week and will be shipping those out once it does!
Faux Leather covers-
I've been back and forth with my printer currently, the first version didn't meet my standards so I have an updated cover print coming for my approval. As this is the limited edition version I wanted to make sure it was worth the money you spent, and it will truly be a treat. I will show off the test cover once it arrives as that'll approval lock in the print run.
Only minis/only dice-
Orders are packed and ready to hit the post on Monday.

New year new update!
We are already later than I was hoping to deliver these books so instead of covering errors and delays in flowery writing let’s get to the facts!
My Nov-Dec was spent doing a lot of back and forth with my printers thanks to one major (but unknown to me) issue… gutter/bleed sizes! Before Smorg I had never made a book before and when laying out the initial in-design project I did (what I thought) was meticulous work in trying to understand proper bleeds and gutter sizes. Something I now know to not be a “one size fits all” different printers have different preferences, and different book versions (of which we have 3) require different measurements. All of these are perfectly logical facts I have learned through the process but it took days with some wonderful customer service folk to get things right.
Throughout that month however boxes, packing material, some undisclosed free goodies arrived.
Softcover/Hardcover/No book backers:
Now to the biggest piece of good news, by the end of the week I will have all of the softcover & hardcover books in hand, which paired with everything else that’s prepped means shipping starts this week! I will make a little update as I’m packing so you know but genuinely pumped to finally reach the end of the line on most of you.
This means ALL BACKERS besides those with faux leather editions will have their packages inbound by the end of the week/start of next week!
Faux Leather backers:
The bad news comes with the faux leather edition. Over the course of a delayed campaign my original printer near quadrupled the cost of this cover finish. Worry not though as similarly to the bleed I spent the past couple of weeks finding a solution. I want it to be very clear, just because the cost increased on my end NO BACKER who bought this edition will pay a single extra cent. As far as I’m concerned it is entirely on me for delaying as long as I did. Consider this lesson learned!
I did however switch printers to be only slightly more expensive on the back end for what will be a prettier book. While the original print was to be faux red leather, this will be faux red with the title text done in a red foil, an appropriately brutal cover for this now overcooked book. Unfortunately, the change means that unlike the other books which are en route to me this week, I am currently awaiting the physical proof of this KS exclusive edition. It is a much fancier cover and deserves that extra care to make sure your wait is worth it. Once that arrives I will post another update to show it off a little bit and confirm the final order is placed, which will give me a set deadline when I am shipping those out.
All in all I appreciate the patience, and apologize that some of you will be getting your copies later than the rest. But once you see that cover I’m sure you’ll agree it was worth getting right!

The time has come! PDF’s of Smorg have been sent out to everyone who ordered a PDF or Physical copy.
I see half of you have already dove in and I’ve been hearing good things so far so thanks to those who’ve been messaging me about your exploits! Always happy to hear of the horrific shenanigans inside. If you HAVE NOT received your free PDF please reach out. It may have dropped into spam, your email was incorrect on the backerkit, or I mistyped it. Either way, I am happy to send it out again to make sure you can digitally check out the book as we move into physical fulfillment.
Budgets are being balanced, and boxes and samples are inbound. As I await things to arrive I will be hand-painting all the nasty teeth dice for you all and will be reaching out to each wave as I get a more rigid timeline. First up will naturally be those who only bought minis. I have those in hand so once the packing materials arrive those are out the door. Followed shortly by softcover editions.
